It’s nice to see NYC cops aren’t held back by quite a many whining liberals as SF police. Good job, officers! Critical Massive Assholes are aggressive to pedestrians and cars…but then whine like little babies when they get pulled off their bikey wikeys!

jamesgnostic, you’re wrong about that light if you’re talking about Richard Vazquez. Look at the slow motion replay from 1:40 to 2:44. The traffic light was on the left side of the road since it was a one way street. You can see it’s red at 1:53 and it’s still red at 2:13.
It’s excessive force, but my main point is that the cyclists aren’t as innocent as they claim to be. Why don’t they admit that they broke traffic laws and ran from police?
What am I talking to a wall? They are ALREADY POSTED. There are several on youtube already from different users, showing critical mass riders blocking traffic so other bicyclists can continue through an intersection or whatever. Pick one.

I did not say the light in the video was green, yellow or red. I said that “I have seen videos” meaning OTHER VIDEOS where they have done blocked traffic.
It IS common practice for critical mass riders to BLOCK OTHER TRAFFIC. If they want to do that, then they need a parade permit otherwise obey the laws like regular traffic. Shoot if they got a permit, the police would probably block traffic FOR THEM. Of course then they probably would not enjoy the shock factor to their cause.

You do if you want to be able to stop other traffic and control the streets. I know the constitution as well and even how to spell it. The problem is not assembling together, the problem is the flow of traffic. I have seen videos of critical mass participants stopping traffic by parking their bicycles in front of cars forcibly stopping them while their fellow participants run red lights and stop signs. Want to be respected as regular traffic? Act like it!
