The Travel Channel World’s Greatest Motorcycle Rides 1 – Riding Highway No 1 on a Saxon Custom Chopper
31

The Travel Channel has a excellent new programme: World’s Greatest Motorcycle Rides, by Henry Cole. He makes these rides on a Saxon! He likes the looks of the semi custom bike and a lot more critical, the bike drives smoothly and comfortably. US Highway 1, a single of the most well-known coastal rides in the planet, hugs the west coast from San Francisco to Laguna Beach. Its 650 miles length is steeped in American history and iconography. There is adventure and luxury to knowledge in equal measure and the only way to feel the genuine sense of freedom and escapism is to ride it not drive it. If there is 1 route that delivers riding the American dream it has to be Highway 1.
This is a scenic motorcycle ride starting at the Balsam heading north to Asheville, NC. Ride aboard the silky-smooth Yamaha FJR 1300AE dream machine into the sunset. Higher-definition 59-minute ride video is accessible on eBay now utilizing the search title: Scenic Motorcycle Ride Video – Blue Ridge Parkway. Music credits: “Life in St. Petersburg” by Blue Knights.

@ludig7 you should visit Sri Lanka too. A Land like no other and a culture that is so unique .
One of the best rides ever! Being from Cali,
I ride this as often as possible on my Road King Classic.
Whatever bike u have, get to this highway & enjoy! It’s best to ride the entire
Highway 1 route thou, not just from
Santa Rosa.
C-ya on the road!
what´s the point? go all the way to California to ride a bike? You know what, I guess this British man just hate cold weather, cause there are billions of interesting places to ride a bike. I rode bikes in California when I lived there, you get bored cause the roads offer no challenges, besides everything looks the same along thousand miles, no big surprises. The weather is great, although is very cold if is not summer, but the best ride are the ones you ride with your friends, anywhere.
California is “freedom”?? They have harder laws on many things than any other state. I think we need to read the definition of free.
Other than that I liked this.
The real road is north of San Francisco where the good handling bikes roam.
Nice video.classy
That truly is an amazing ride!
Rode it in September 09. It was awesome!
Looks like a great ride but you should have a look at the Great Ocean Road Australia.
hey,,, i live in Santa Rosa… we are not the “little industrial city” .. we are THE WINE COUNTRY!!!. it is so cool… i actually used to live right in the houses behind that motorcycle shop.. by south park.. but not anymore ( thank god)
I didn’t know i lived in the “little industrial city” ?
There is nutting but grape vineyards and apple orchards here. We Call the wine country.
me a few buddies did this when we were all still stationed in Camp Pendelton. that was the greatest road trip on bikes i ever had
But native animals live here too.
very very nice…
Very nice view through windshield, like your background music too.
sry but the sound of the bike gets me a headache
but u did ride very nice and careful *Thumbs up*
@JNozum
Helps too if the bike has no vibration at all too. LOL!
I am pleased with how steady your camera was on your motorcycle. The video was pretty good. However, the music is not of my taste.
As for your camera, your mount is MUCH, MUCH better than a helmet mount! I had thoughts of rigging up a chest mount for myself. Yours appears to be mounted directly onto your bike.
Your selection of scenery is also very good.
As for music, I might have used some bluegrass or some old styled instrumental country.

Very nice video! I haven’t seen before such nice editing, such a nice mix of groovy riding music with the motor sound that gives the “feeling” so well! I live in Asheville and love to ride my Vulcan 500 up and down the parkway. This was a most welcome find on You Tube! Thanks!

I may have to consider a ride east of the Mississippi, nice!
I live like 20 minutes from going on a ride here… Just got my bike so havent had a chance to make it that way in this cold weather.
*Fail*
Awesome place to ride!!! It is beautiful-but look out for the deer!!!
Awesome video, but nothing like actually being there. Just bought an 04 Connie, will be planning a BRP trip this fall I think.
Blessed are you to be able to witness the glory of what God made. We are being developed so fast I don’t recognize any of the towns I live nearby. Land development > Phooey!! Will this country be turned into an expensive parking lot??
NOBAMA ever
